Sugaring Hair Removal

Sugar paste is all natural and made of sugar, water, and citric acid and is applied to the skin in the opposite direction of hair growth and removed in the natural direction of hair growth. Because of this method of removal, hair breakage is less common and there is less discomfort in comparison to other hair removal methods. Think of it this way: when you are tweezing your brows, you pull the hair WITH the natural direction, right? Sugaring does EXACTLY that! Sugar paste only adheres to the hair and the dead skin cells, meaning lifting or tearing of the skin is nearly impossible and because the paste is only heated to a lukewarm temperature, it is very unlikely to get burned. This also means that sugaring is more gentle on the skin and is less uncomfortable than traditional waxing. Because sugar paste is able to seep into the hair follicle and lift the hair directly from the root, it is very common for hair regrowth to be significantly less even by just the second or third appointment, and regular services can even lead to permanent hair reduction. Less hair regrowth means less discomfort! Regular sugaring appointments occur every 3-6 weeks, and clients don’t typically even notice their hair begin to break the surface of the skin until about two weeks after their sugaring appointment. No more prickly, sharp hair regrowth!
